Activities

Our organisation has been working in Garden Reach, (Kolkata-India) since last 18 years; we have our remarkable performance in Social and Educational field. Garden Reach Slum Development was started in 1989 as an expression of the people of Garden Reach and Metaibruz areas. G.R.S.D. organises a host of other activities, like Self-Help Groups (micro Credit Programme), Health checkup provision, Vocational training, Sanitation etc.
Listed here below are some of our activities that we conduct on a regular basis: EDUCATION Non Formal Education. Child Labour Special School (KCLRWC) Computer Education HEALTH 24 Hrs Ambulance Service. Training for Health Workers. Community Health Center OTHERS Formation of Self Help Group (SHGs). Sewing and Craft Centre for Girls/Women (Swawlambam Womens under taken Govt. of W. B). Quiz Debate, Essay and Cultural Programme. Awareness programme / Meeting/Rally, Campaign on Relevant issues Organising Seminar and Consultations. Pay & Use Toilet. Home for Destitute Woman's (Under Swadhar Scheme Govt of India). Open Shelter for Girls Shelter for Urban Homeless for Male (Govt of West Bengal). Shelter for Urban Homeless for Female (Govt of West Bengal). Cottage for Girls (Govt of West Bengal). Mid - Day Meal (SSM Kolkata). Vocational Training Programme.
